I agree 100%. However, based on the federal government’s impressive track record of consistently lying to the American people, it is usually my policy to remain agnostic toward the various claims of government officials until compelling evidence is publicly available. Speculation has its limits, which is why I believe it is often more important to analyze the effects of these claims, just as it was during the invasion and occupation of Iraq, as well as with the recent Syria rhetoric, etc. One of the major effects of the Russiagate narrative seems to be the emergence of a new Cold War, and it would be difficult to make the case that that’s a good thing.
